About Me

I don't paint pictures, I create art.

Since 1999, Corey Buckner has worked professionally in media, entertainment, communications and the creative arts. In that time, he has compiled a proven track record of producing effective, creative, helpful, and life-changing visual and audio media, the written word, and visual arts projects that effectively communicate complex, complicated and intellectually challenging topics to a diverse range of audiences across cultural, religious, socioeconomic, and other demographic lines. Corey has accomplished this in part by lending his talents as a communicator, artist, writer, and technological innovator to a broad range of clients and employers utilizing demographic-specific imaging, visuals, sounds, and verbal colloquialisms that both maximizes and localizes the impact of his messages across the widest range of audience possible. In essence, Corey has mastered the art of tailoring his messages to reach the core concerns, desires, and cultural experiences of each specific audience in which he is tasked with communicating.

Corey's professional experience includes providing on-air political talent for BBC News, and 6 years operating as head of the media ministry at Cornerstone Christian Center in the South Suburbs of Chicago Heights, IL. During this time, Corey also served stints as Ministry of Music, Assistant Pastor, and interim Senior Pastor at First Assembly of God in Chicago Heights, IL and as a Junior High Pastor at Cornerstone. Prior to that season of life, he worked for 3 years as Program Director and Communications Specialist for multiple DHS-Funded social service agencies throughout the Chicago area. Additionally, between 2000 and 2013 Corey worked directly with both the Republican and Democratic Parties and candidates in Illinois providing political consultancy and analysis, as well as marketing, and creative support for campaigns and initiatives.

After spending most of his twenties in ministry, politics and social services, Corey took his talents to corporate America where he would spend 6-years as Web and Network Administrator for Iroquois Federal Savings and Loan in Watseka, IL. Since 2013 Corey has held the position of Marketing and Technology Director for one of the top 5, premiere, cosmetic dental labs in the world where he creates and facilitates the lab's national marketing campaigns, manages all technology in the cutting-edge, industry-leading laboratory; and designs, develops, builds, and launches new products and services. In the last 5 years he has grown the lab's social media following to more than 3 million combined followers. That social media success includes fully monetizing the company's Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube accounts; as well as growing both the Instagram and YouTube accounts from less than one hundred followers and subscribers to more than one million on each platform.

Corey Buckner remains active in his own endeavors spending time investing in others through building his own platforms which includes:

The colexions Art Gallery, an online art gallery and social network that helps visual artists gain exposure for their artwork and aids them in selling their work for free. Big Strong U is a complimentary online diet and fitness coaching platform that focuses on helping people lose weight, eat healthily, and/or build their strength. Corey Buckner Studio creates high-quality, informational and entertainment-based video content and produces multiple genre-specific podcasts.

Presently, Corey is most recognized for his work as a visual artist and painter. In November of 2019 he returned to the world of the visual arts after a twenty-year hiatus and has since begun establishing his presence in the global arts community. His art, which has been widely regarded as being bright, colorful, captivating, and visually compelling, centers around love, joy, happiness, and the existence of God and God-inspired things. He has committed this season of his life to producing his art, as well as promoting traditional arts as both a career that others should pursue and as recreational activities the more people should indulge in. Through his current work, he is using his unique blend of talents, abilities, knowledge, and experience to raise the cultural relevance of art, improve global artistic literacy, and encourage visual artists to take on the responsibility of preserving modern culture through new, modern works of art that reflect who we are as modern humans.

Corey is a devoted husband to his wife Tamekia, and a loving father to 5 living kids, and one child who passed away in 2019.
